Disappearance

09:18, 25 December 2023

"She did what?" Draco yelled when Ginny told him what happened with Hermione. He was talking to one of the Aurors at the time, being that he was an Auror himself, and he was also involved in the incident at the Manor. When he walked back, he only saw Ginny and his mother. Not Hermione.

Ginny was twisting her hair and chewing on her lip. "I know! I don't know where she went!" None of this had gone the way Ginny had wanted.

"This isn't like Hermione!" Draco exclaimed, getting in Ginny's face. "Since when is she insecure?" He started walking in circles, pushing his hair back.

"Malfoy, didn't you hear what I said?" Ginny rolled her eyes, grabbing his shirt to make him focus on her. "She isn't! She. Loves. Who. She. Is." Ginny clapped between each word for emphasis. "It's that she believes you need someone who is like you!"

His forehead was full of creases from worry. "That's bullshit!" He yelled, looking around the yard at the others. "It's completely-"

"Of course it is!" Ginny shouted, throwing her hands up. "We both know that." She turned to look at the Apparition spot Hermione disappeared in. "Ugh, Hermione!" Ginny said, more to herself. "You and Malfoy are perfect together! Stop worrying about all of this 'fitting in' rubbish."

Draco walked over to where Hermione disappeared, staring at the ground. It seemed like he thought he could just pull her out of the concrete.

"I have to go after her." He turned around to face Ginny.

"No way, that's a great idea, Malfoy!" Ginny whacked him up the head. "Why didn't I think of that?"

He smirked at her and folded his arms across his chest. "Well, what do you propose we do, Ginger?"

Narcissa had been standing next to them the whole time, looking back and forth between them. She appeared uncertain how to react.

"I thought you'd never ask," Ginny grinned.
