Forever, and Then Chaos

01:30, 15 November 2025

JAY-JAY POV

We got out of the hospital, the air outside feeling heavier somehow, like the world had shifted.

We were inside the car, the silence wrapping around us.

"Jay," Keifer said softly.

"Hmm," I answered, still staring at my hands, still trying to process three.

He reached over, lacing his fingers through mine. His grip was warm, steady, trembling just a little.

"Thank you," he whispered.

I glanced at him, confused. "For?"

"For giving me all this," he said, his voice breaking with sincerity. "For staying. For giving me a second chance even when I was an asshole."

My chest tightened. I'd seen Keifer loud, chaotic, overprotective, ridiculous — but this was different.

His eyes were raw, unguarded, shimmering with something deeper than joy.

"When you met me I was an asshole," he said, his voice low, almost ashamed. "You changed me for the better."

I stared at him, my fingers tightening around him.

His eyes weren't the usual chaotic sparkle — they were raw, steady, filled with something that made my chest ache.

"Keifer..." I whispered.

He shook his head, pressing on. "You gave me a second chance when I didn't deserve it. You stayed. You loved me anyway. And now... now you're giving me the greatest gift of all." His hand slid gently over my belly, reverent. "Three little lives. Proof that I can be better. Proof that I am better because of you."

"And I promise I will protect you and them and I will not be like my fath—"

He didn't finish. I leaned forward and kissed him on the lips, silencing the words before they could wound him further.

We pulled back after some time, our foreheads resting together, breaths mingling.

"You are not him, Keifer," I whispered firmly. "You will not turn into him. Because this Keifer right here..." I brushed my fingers against his cheek, forcing him to meet my eyes. "...is Aunt Serian's son. The boy she raised with love, not fear. The man I married. The father of our three babies."

His eyes shimmered, raw and unguarded. "Jay..."

I smiled through my tears. "You're not defined by him. You're defined by the choices you make. And right now, you're choosing us. You're choosing me. You're choosing them."

Keifer swallowed hard, his voice breaking "I'm choosing forever."

He kissed me again, softer this time, reverent, like he was sealing a vow.

And in that quiet car, with three heartbeats between us, I knew he wasn't just promising protection — he was promising transformation.

"Keifer," I said softly.

"What?" he asked, his thumb brushing over my knuckles.

"Should we tell the others... about the three babies?" I whispered, still trying to wrap my head around it.

He went quiet for a moment, then a slow grin spread across his face. "Of course we should. This isn't just news, Jay — it's history. They'll lose their minds."

I groaned, leaning back against the seat. "You know if you tell Section E first, the house will be chaos before we even get home."

He laughed, eyes sparkling. "Exactly. Ci‑N will roast me, Mayo will probably try to name all three, David will cry, and Blaster will start writing a triplet anthem. And Angelo... well, he'll glare at me like I planned this."

I shook my head, smiling despite myself. "You're impossible."

He leaned closer, pressing his forehead against mine. "Impossible, but proud. Proud of you. Proud of us. Proud of the fact that we're about to raise three little lives together."

I exhaled, finally letting the weight settle. "Fine. But you're the one explaining to Kuya Angelo how we ended up outnumbered."

Keifer grinned wider, already reaching for his phone. "Deal. And I'll take whatever chaos comes with it."

"Let's go shopping," I said suddenly, the idea sparking in my head.

"For?" Keifer asked, tilting his head, suspicious but curious.

"We can't just go and say we're having triplets," I explained, a grin tugging at my lips. "We have to create a surprise. Something big. Something they'll never forget."

Keifer's eyes widened "What do you want to buy?"

"I don't know lets just go and see what they have" I said excited

"I don't know, let's just go and see what they have," I said, excitement bubbling in my chest.

He grinned like a kid about to raid a candy store. "Dangerous words, Jay. You know I might buy the whole mall if you don't stop me."

"Let's go," I said, determination in my voice.

He nodded, already plotting like a general before battle. I could practically see the gears turning in his head — strategies, lists, maybe even a blueprint of the entire mall.

We reached the mall, and I basically dragged Keifer through the entrance, my excitement bubbling over.

"Jay, slow down," Keifer said, half‑laughing, half‑scolding. "Don't run, it's not safe."

I turned back, grinning. "Safe? We're about to plan the biggest surprise reveal of our lives. I don't have time to walk."

He shook his head, trying to keep up. "You're going to make me sprint through the mall like a lunatic."

"You already are a lunatic," I teased, tugging him toward the baby store.

And then we saw them. Two simple white shirts hanging on display, bold letters across the front: Parents of 3 Babies.

Keifer froze, eyes wide. "Jay... this is it. This is how we tell them."

I picked one up, running my fingers over the fabric. My heart skipped. It was perfect. Big in meaning, small in form.

He held the other shirt against his chest, grinning. "Imagine us walking in wearing these. Section E won't know what hit them."

I laughed. "You're going to look ridiculous."

"Ridiculous? Or iconic?" he said, already heading to the counter.

But of course, Keifer wasn't done. His eyes darted toward the bakery.

"Jay," he whispered, plotting.

"What now?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

"Cakes. We need cakes. Three cakes. One chocolate, one vanilla, one strawberry. Three flavors, three babies. Symbolism, Jay. It's art."

I groaned, but my smile betrayed me. "You're going to make David cry before he even tastes the cake."

"Good," Keifer said proudly. "That's the goal. Tears, chaos, and frosting everywhere."

And just like that, our reveal plan was set — two shirts, three cakes, and a storm of laughter waiting at home.
