Chapter 7

19:03, 26 October 2018

Hey there my lovelies! What's up? I know, I know, updates have been slow recently, but I have at least realized that starting two stories at a time was a mistake. I barely have enough time to eat breakfast in a week, let alone sleep or write stories. But hopefully as soon as I finish this, I'll be a one story at a time kind of author. I don't know. Whatever. It's just like me to say this and then not do it, I promised my mom that I would not read more than three books at a time and here I am reading nine. Oh well. Alright, enough of my babbling, let's see if I can finish the story with this one! Read my loves!

"Shit Nicky, you woke him up!" Dan said.

Neil POV

Neil immediately stopped running his fingers through Andrew's hair. His fingers almost missed the feel of it when he pulled away. It was soft. So soft, and silky smooth. Of course he had felt Andrew's hair before, it was what he held on to whenever they kissed, but he had never really felt it, focused on it. He was getting off track.

Anyways, Andrew yawned and sat up, but didn't lean away from Neil, he left their shoulders pressed together. No one else noticed, but Neil did. He wanted to smile. But he didn't he just watched Andrew.

Andrew POV(sorry, I couldn't think of anything for Neil, I'll get back to him.)

Why did Andrew stay so close to Neil, almost leaning on him. He couldn't even make it a question in his brain because he immediately knew the answer. Normally he wouldn't admit this, even to himself, but again, this was a crazy day. To fuck it. Andrew needed something to ground himself, and Andrew had learned that Neil was the only thing that could. Just knowing that he was there, to hold him up, or maybe to just be there. Just existing. Just being. It was all Andrew needed to live. He had never thought of it before, and even if he could accept it mentally, he would never do so verbally. But it was true, so viciously true, it almost hurt. Andrew could not live without this short, idiotic, suicidal, martyr-by-choice. This blue eyed pipe dream. He was like... oxygen. So vital for everyone in his circle of influence, but especially Andrew. He hated with such passion how dependent he had become on this nightmare of a boy. But this just made Andrew so much more grateful to have him.

Back to the present Andrew. He told himself. He may have a perfect memory, but his attention span was... quite short.

Everyone was watching Andrew as he stretched, looking like a small kitten after a nap. They were all watching to see if he was okay, to see what had changed. No one expected him to be different. Everyone was waiting for him to get a bored look on his face and stalk off into his room like he normally would. But Andrew didn't.

Andrew had planned what he would do. He kept away from specifics because he had no idea what environment he would be in at this point, but he knew how he wanted to act around Neil. On the walk back, he may have been asleep most of the time, but whenever he woke up he would pick up where he left off and think until he drifted away again. He had reflected on his relationship with the team over the years, and his relationship with Neil of course. Andrew had really thought about what it had been, and what it had the capability to be. And he decided he liked his options. But he would take a bold road this time. Not his usual course of action, but Andrew was tired. Not just of tonight and all that entailed, but just in general. Andrew was tired of keeping up the facade all the time. Pretending that his and Neil's something was always nothing. Hiding his emotions all along. Besides, at this point the team at least knew he had emotions. Well, the ones who still thought he was a sociopath.

Neil had once asked him why he had never corrected them. At the time he hadn't thought much of it, not seeing a reason to correct them. But now he saw it. And so he wanted to correct them, once and for all. And this is what he did.

Soooo... what do you think? I'm pretty proud, even if it was infuriatingly short. Sorry about that. I like where this is going so far, and hopefully I will be able to finish it FINALLY. Love ya!
