Bowser sat at the dining room table, waiting for his Doordash order to arrive. He had been alone since before noon, since Marvin had left to go to the store. It was now 1:30pm. Bowser had no idea what the man was doing, but he was getting impatient and hungry. There were hardly any snacks left, and Bowser had no idea how to cook. Charleyyy was off for a while too, which gave Bowser nothing to do besides wait.

"What is taking Marvin so long? He get into a crash or something? I hope my twinkies aren't hurt if he did." He wondered out loud. He brushed it off and took out his phone to doom scroll on whatever, which he did for around 15 minutes until he heard a car drive by the house, and into the driveway. He perked up, excited to see the yellow car that was supposed to deliver his chicken wings, but his feelings were crushed when I saw it was Marvin's red car instead. "Oh come on!"

Marvin carried the several bags out of the car and shut the door with his leg since his hands were full. He wobbled to the door and attempted to open it, but failed. He kicked on it to alert Bowser, or anyone downstairs. Thankfully, Bowser did come and open the door. "What took you so long? You were gone for over an hour." He questioned as Marvin trudged to the dining room table and dropped all the heavy bags on the table.

"I was... stuck in traffic..." Marvin lied. Bowser raised an eyebrow, definitely skeptical of what the red-clad man was saying. They both stared into each other's souls for what felt like forever before Bowser smirked and started to laugh. Marvin, not knowing what else to do, awkwardly laughed along.

"Oh Marvin... Marvin, Marvin, Marvin. You were doing something devious, weren't you? Let me guess, you went to see Rose and got... distracted?" Bowser joked, winking suggestively and nudging Marvin.

Marvin didn't want to give him any more reason to be suspicious of him, so he played along. "Heh... Yeah, I guess I did get a little distracted."

"You dirty dog, you." Bowser said, laughing louder this time. He then noticed a yellow car pull into the driveway. "Finally, my wings are here. I ordered some food since I thought you got hit by a car or something and I wouldn't get my twinkies." The man then went outside to collect his food, leaving Marvin standing there.

Marvin sighed with relief, then brought the groceries to the kitchen to put them away. As he was doing so, he thought about what the chef had said. He didn't not believe him, but part of him wanted to believe none of it was true. Bowser was Marvin's friend, at least he thought. Though, the neglecting part did make sense. Bowser wasn't really there for his kid, only coming out of his room for food or special occasions. Chef PeePee basically raised the kid.

The more Marvin thought, the more terrible he felt for yelling at Jeffy and Rose. He should've just listened instead of believing blindly. But what could he do now? Suddenly switch up on Bowser? He'd get beaten into the ground, or at the least put his family in danger.

He finished putting the groceries away and laid on the red couch upstairs. He turned the TV on low volume and took a quick nap before Jeffy came home. He wanted to talk to him about the whole thing, but he needed to rest first. Groceries are heavy.
