The class had some free time after lunch so their teacher could google enough material for the rest of the day. Jeffy stole the girl who sits next to Junior's seat since she was still on vacation and chilled with Junior and Cody.

"Only 2 and a half hours until the day is over... I never thought I'd be sad about school ending." Junior said.

"Now you know how I feel." Cody told him.

"When I get home I'm playing Fortnite, I don't care what my daddy says because I'm not grounded anymore." Jeffy said. "They added piggies and I wanna see them."

"Oh yeah, I heard about that. In my opinion the season kinda sucks. They removed most of the actual guns, and by the time you find the bones to craft the new ones back to the original, someone jumps you and you die." Cody ranted.

"Well, shit. I guess daddy's in for a lot of screaming then." Jeffy said casually.

The three continued talking about Fortnite and other stuff, Junior spacing off for most of it. For the first time in a while he felt calm. It felt like normal times, just hanging with the boys talking about whatever, except Joseph wasn't there. Sure, the thought of Joseph's disappearance and Chef PeePee in jail were still present in Junior's mind, but that wasn't the only thing he had to think about now that he wasn't cramped in a closet.

The closet... oh god. He only had a few hours until he had to sit still and be alone with his thoughts for the entire afternoon and night. It felt like torture, but it was definitely better than facing Bowser. Or was it? Yes, yes it was. Junior knew the first time he was alone with him that he'd beat on him like he always did, probably worse than normal. He really didn't want to go through that again.

"Alright class, for the rest of the day we are going to listen to this audio book that I found a free version of on some shady website. Listen up, because you will have a quiz on it before you leave." Jackie Chu announced. The entire class, besides Cody, groaned loudly. "You better take notes."

Some of the class got paper out, while the others who didn't care just sat there. Junior decided to get a piece of paper out so he had something to distract him, and also so if he got super bored he could just doodle. Whoever was reading the book Jackie Chu chose must've hated their life because they sounded bored out of their mind. Voice aside, Junior didn't really think the book was too boring, once the people actually started talking.

The book soon started to cuss a lot, which made the class giggle, even Cody. "I thought this book was about mice, not people ranting about buses." Jackie mumbled. Despite being annoyed, he kept it on and sat on his phone while texting Ling Ling.

Faint footsteps were heard walking towards the door, but Junior hadn't noticed them until they got really close. The person then knocked at the door before opening it. Junior didn't look at first, he was too focused on doodling a dino on his paper.

"Junior! Thank god you're here!" The voice exclaimed. Junior recognized it well, and it scared the life out of him. He slowly turned, shaking slightly, until his father came into view. He looked overly happy, a plastic smile going from ear to ear.

"Jeffy, you're in big trouble." Marvin said, who was behind Bowser.

"Well shit." Jeffy said.

"Hello, uh, Mr Chu. Marvin and I are here to pick up our kids early." Bowser said, acting fancy and proper.

"Ok." The teacher responded, not even looking up from his phone. Bowser stood there awkwardly for a moment before turning back to Junior.

"Come on Junior, let's go." Bowser said. All Junior did was stare. 'How did he know? We covered our tracks, right???' He thought. He didn't move a muscle. Cody noticed how scared Junior was of his father, and knew he had to find a way to help him.

"Uhm, Mr Junior's dad sir, we are going to have a quiz at the end of the day, which is very important to your son's grade. So, I don't think you'd want him to miss that, right?" Cody said, laying a hand on Junior's shoulder while smiling at Bowser.

"I said, let's go, Junior." Bowser repeated, hardly acknowledging Cody at all.

"Let's go Jeffy, we're going home and having a long talk." Marvin said to his son.

"Yay! No quiz!" Jeffy exclaimed happily, angering Marvin even more. He got up and stood by his dad.

Junior gave one last sorrowful look to Cody before slowly standing up. He walked up to Jeffy and stood next to him for safety, and to feel more comfortable. He gave Cody a wave before following Jeffy out of the classroom, and to his inevitable doom.
