Chapter 20

Lexi's POV

I got out of the car and slammed the door shut, I let my eyes roam over the beautiful town of New Orleans. I smirked as Janie came around the car to me "Now you know he's going to be mad at you." Janie eyed me.

I rolled my eyes. "Please, he wont be mad. He's going to be excited I came back." I said as we walked across the busy street of loud music and tourist. We entered the bar/club and heard loud music, someone singing. Janie went off into the back off somewhere i had no clue...

"HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW? HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW? HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW? HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW!" I looked up at the singer and smirked seeing as he sang with the mic in his hand. He finished his song and jumped off the stage walking over to his friends high-fiving them smiling wide with his white teeth. I took a step closer and smirked until his eyes caught onto mines he stopped smiling and walked closer.

His men came closer feeling the tension, but he held up a hand telling them not to come. He came closer to me as I smirked with a glare. Quickly he lit up a wide grin and wrapped his arms around me. "LEXI!"

I couldn't help but smile back and pulled away as he messed with my hair. "Marcel!" I fixed my hair after we pulled away.

"My mentor, my savior, my best friend, and OUR QUEEN!" He took my hand raising it in the air along with his as everybody cheered. I laughed and looked at him.

"I see you change up the place for the last couple of months?" I smiled.

He grinned at me and looked at me, "Yep, well more tourist but other than that it's been the same."

I smiled. "At least I didn't miss much." I smirked.

"Why did you leave suddenly? And come up without a call?" He asked.

"You know how I was talking about my father I was hunting down?" I asked he nodded. "Well I found him, went after him... we came to uneven turns but decided to stay as a family. But in the end he just rotted like everything else I held close too." I said shrugging.

"Well, forget the dead and live as the night!" He cheered as everyone else cheered. I cheered with him.

"May the Queen guide you tonight in the feast of a lifetime!" I cheered with everyone.

Damon's POV

"Get up you idiot!" I smacked Jeremy's head as he jumps started in the car passenger seat. I rolled my eyes and look back at the road.

"What the hell is your problem!" Jeremy yelled at me. I glanced at him, angry.

"My problem is that you are asleep when you should be ---"

"HELP! HELP!" A girl came out of the forest coming infront of the car, I pressed onto the break.

Jeremy was about to get out of the car when I put my hand on his shoulder. "Stay inside." I demanded then went outside. "Are you okay?" I asked her.

"NO! no! They're hunting me! Marcel and his followers are going to kill me because she's here! Lexi! She's--!" She cried. I flinched hearing Lexi's name, she knew lexi and could tell us more.

"Shh... Come into the car." I grabbed a hold of her shoulder, she followed as we turned around and saw a vampire.

"Give us the girl." The blonde vampire commanded.

"And what if I don't want to?" I smirked.

"Then you'll die along with her." Another from behind said.

I sighed and threw the girl at her them then blurred snapping his neck then pulled out the heart of the other vampire. "Opps, too bad I couldn't die." I smirked and wiped my hands on the guys jacket. I looked up at the girl.

"Thank you, I'm Voilet." She says softly scared at what she saw.

"Damon Salvatore." I got up. "Now what did you say about Lexi?" I asked.

"Lexi is the queen of New Orleans and I'm being hunted like dogs because  I was marcel girlfriend." Voilet said.

I cocked my head. "Didn't you said that this Marcel guy is hunting you down?"

"Yes, because Lexi is back in New Orleans, I'm not longer his entertainment." She said.

"Whose this Marcel?"

"The king of New Orleans, also Lexi's loyal dog." She said frightened.

"So he was going to kill his girlfriend?" I questioned to myself.

"Ye--" Voilet began to say but stopped. "Urg..." I saw her fall to the ground and saw another vampire hold her heart. He dropped it on the ground and smiled at me.

"Hello." He smiled at us.

I looked at Violet on the ground. "What the hell?" Jeremy came out of the car. I blurred about to tackle down the vampire but he throws me on the ground.

"Nobody touches the king." He says with a smirk. I looked at him confused.

"Marcel?" I asked. He pulled on a wide grin. He helped me up.

"Marcel is right. King of New Orleans!" He raised his arms in the air. I glanced at Jeremy. "Now, what do you want to know about Lexi?" He asked. 

"Isn't the fancy king thing a little old fashion?" I questioned. 

"Nothings every too old when your the king of the vampire city." He smirks. "Now, why do you want to know about Lexi." He demanded. 

"She's our friend." Jeremy butted in walking over to us.  I rolled my eyes.

"Really?" Marcel smirks raising an eyebrow. "Well a friend of Lexi is a friend of mines. Come, she's feeding right now but I think inviting friends wouldn't bother her appite."

Marcle went inbetween us and put his hand around our shoulder as we walked down the street. Jeremy grabbed his arm and put a stake right behind his back. "If you take us somewhere Lexi isn't, I can kill you easily." Jeremy threatened.

"He means it, one of the four vampire hunters." I shrugged. Jeremy realased Marcel.

"Alright, don't worry I'll bring you two to her." Marcel said in a calm evil voice.

Jeremy's POV

We arrived at a Bar/Club. As soon the doors open, everybody cheered for Marcel. "Calm down! Calm down! We have guests tonight! They are far away from home and they wanted to see Lexi, let's bring them to the meet!!" He shouts then suddenly we are pushed out of the bar and onto the street. Vampires, the whole city is covered with vampires on the buildings, streets, everywhere circling us.

"What the hell?" I ask. "You said you were going to take us to see Lexi!" anger came in my voice. Marcel laughed.

"Calm down Jeremy, I'll talk." Damon said stepping forward.

"You done enought talking." I snapped.

"How about you both shut up?" Marcel looked at us. "Now, you will see Lexi but not just anyone can see her. And we can decide if you can see her." Marcel smirked.

"We aren't going to kill her--" Damon began to say but Marcel blurred to him and snapped his neck.

"I told you to shut up." Marcel walked back. "Vampires don't kill vampires but you... I can kill." Marcel pointed at me. "Now tell me why you want to see Lexi, vampire hunter?" He asked.

I clentched my fist into a ball and watch him as he circles me. "You can't kill me, you'll just get the hunters curse." I said.

"Ooohh, hunters curse. I don't really care about that curse. Now tell me--" He looks at the crowd with a grin.

"Because I'm her boyfriend." I snapped. Marcel flinched and snapped his head at me, he grabbed a whip wrapping it around my neck. I grabbed the whip trying not to die.

"That's a lie." He said. "Lexi wouldn't date a vampire hunter... that's ironic and stupid." He said. "Do you believe that he is Lexi's boyfriend?" He asked the crowd of vampires.

I choke. "It's true!" I tried to speak out.. but things were starting to go blue.

"NO! Kill him!" Crowd began to say.

"The jury had decided, death!" Marcel shouted and pulled the whip tighter, I felt the blood stop in my vein and struggled for air.

"And the queen has questioned why she was not invited?" I heard Lexi's voice and saw the crowd move as she came behind Marcel.

"Lexi." Marcel began to say.

"Drop him." Lexi ordered. Marcel growled and glared at me. "I said DROP. HIM." She grew anger in her voice.

Marcel dropped the whip and growled. I fell to the ground grasping for air. He walks over to me bends down and glares at me in the eye"you're lucky Vampire hunter..."

"Leave." Lexi ordered. "Everyone. " She ordered. Every vampire slowly disparted their ways and Marcel got up walking away. Lexi blurred infront of him. "Now if this happens again without my permission, you will be punished Marcel." She smiled evily to him. Marcel nodded and walked away. Lexi watched him walk away then she came over to me. "You two must be real idiots, coming into a vampire castle."

I got up on my own and saw Damon slowly groaning waking up. I looked at Lexi, "Come home Lexi. Why are you even here?"

"I am home, this is where I built this city, vampires own this.. and I'm the queen." She smiled.

"You're proud of this...?Vampires roaming the night, eating on people? " I asked.

"We're vampires, monsters... it's who we are." She said. "Why are you here Jeremy? And brought Damon along as well?"

"To bring you back to Mystic Falls where you belong." I said.

She let out a laugh. "I have no reason to go back to that dead beat place. None. This is my home, family.."

"Kol's body is in Mystic falls." I said. "you're family is back at Mystic Falls. This isn't you. You're humanity is off."

"Kol's body is in Mystic Falls because you killed him. And you can not take me back to Mystic Falls.." She said but her expression became dull when her eyes slowly faded shut. Damon caught her as she fell and looked at me.

"Good job in distrating her. Now, let's go home." He says pulling the vervain needle out of her neck and put it in his jacket. 

I looked around, only us. "I don't think--"

"We don't have a lot of time, Powerful no humanity, crazy, bitch hybrid original can wake up any moment. Let's go." Damon carried her as we walked out of New Orleans.

I looked around and make sure nobody was following us. As soon we put her in the back and started driving out of New Orleans I asked Damon "How are we going to get her humanity back?"

"Easy, torture her. Give her feelings..." He drove down the highway.

"What if that doesn't work?" I asked.

"Plan B raise silas and bring back Kol." Damon said.

"We can't raise the dead Damon." I said.

"Fine Plan C torture her" Damon said. I rolled my eyes. "What have any other plans?" He asked.

"Remind her how to feel." I said. "Relive every moment that made her human."

Damon scoff. "She's a crazy physco bitch with no humanity, we'll give it a shot but if it doesn't work with you I'll give it a try." He smirks. I rolled my eyes and looked in the back at Lexi laying down.

I'm going to get you back....
