SIX

(Sehun's POV)

  "Seorin, give me your phone," I said.

  "Wae?" she asked in a snarky tone. She had been very cranky since morning. More than usual I mean.

  "I was watching a webtoon and my phone's battery ran out," I explained "Just give me yours"

  Seorin gave me a long  look, like she was weighing the odds of me having her phone.

  I gave an exasperated sigh. "I won't look through anything. Trust me, I don't want to"

  "Make sure you don't then," she said, giving in and handing me her phone. I started watching the webtoon. We were in the dressing room, waiting for the model I had to do the particular photoshoot with. It had already been an hour and she still wasn't here. The PM was about to blow a fuse and I was kinda worried too, since I had to attend a fansign event with EXO later.

  I finished watching my webtoon and was about to switch off the phone when I accidently opened the messaging app. I wouldn't have played any attention to it if a name on the top hadn't caught my eye. It was the name Ye Joon with a heart next to it.

  Ohh so this is the guy she keeps flirting with huh? It was probably very wrong of me but my curiosity won and I clicked open the chat. He broke up with her?? For some reason I found this extremely funny and I burst out laughing.

  Seorin looked up from the magazine she was reading. "Yah what are you looking at?!" she asked coming near to take back her phone. I stood up and held the phone above my head so she couldn't reach it.

  "You got dumped?!" I asked, still laughing.

  "YAH OH SEHUN!!!" Seorin yelled trying to snatch her phone. But I kept it well out of her reach, laughing as she struggled to take it.

 "Give that back!" Seorin said through clenched teeth, glaring at me furiously.

  "The guy must have finally come to his senses," I said "I mean, can you blame him? Who would want someone like you?"

  To my horror, Seorin's brown eyes started filling up with tears. Instantly feeling bad, I lowered my hand and she snatched the phone from my hands and stormed off.

  I went after her and tentatively laid a hand on her shoulder. "Hey-" I started saying but Seorin jerked away from my touch. "Leave me alone!" she cried and ran out of the room, leaving me feeling horrible.

  By the time I followed her, Seorin was no where to be seen. I spotted A-yeong and asked her if she had seen Seorin.

  "Isn't she with you?" she asked.

  "No. Um... she seemed upset today," I said.

  "Yeah. Her boyfriend broke up with her," A-yeong sighed. "It affected her quite a bit, the poor girl."

  "Oh. Were they serious?"

  "Seorin was. Turns out he wasn't," A-yeong said "They were dating for over an year now." She shook her head. "He's already found another girl. Poor Seorin's hardly eating after she found out."

  After I heard that, I felt even more horrible. Did he mean that much to her?

 "Here," I held out the gift bag. Seorin stopped talking with the guy next to her and looked up, surprised.

  "What's this?" she asked.

  "It's for you."

  "Why?"

  "Uh..." I cleared my throat uncomfortably. The other guy looked from me to Seorin. Then he stepped forward.

  "Hi, I'm Lee Ji Hun," he said. He was the same guy who had been talking with Seorin yesterday too. He was always hovering around her. I nodded at him curtly and turned back to Seorin.

  "Just take it," I urged. She stared at me like she wasn't sure if it was a trick or not. Aish this girl really!

  "Uh, I'll leave you two to it," Ji Hun said "See you later." He flashed Seorin a smile and walked away. I stared after him. Did he just try to flirt with her?!

  Seorin took the bag and pulled out a bubble tea and a teddy bear. "You bought these for me?" she asked in surprise.

  "No. There was a 'buy 1 get 1 free' offer," I lied. Of course I had bought it for her. But she didn't need to know that- it might get into her head.

  "What about the teddy bear?"

  "Came with it," I said with a shrug. "I didn't want it so I gave it to you." 

  "You could have given it to Kai. You know he loves bears," Seorin said

  "He has more than enough bears. Look, do you want it or not?" I asked exasperated.

  "I want it," she said giving the bear a cuddle. "I was just wondering..."

  "Don't wonder so much. I just gave it to you, there's nothing behind it," I said. "Do you like it?" I waited for her answer somewhat anxiously.

  "Yes," Seorin said with a smile "I can't believe you did something nice"

  "Oh I'm nice. I simply ooze niceness" I said with a shrug "Its only for special people though." Wait, why did I just say that?! It might give her ideas. "Uh- not that you're special"

  Seorin laughed. She had a nice laugh. When it wasn't sarcastic or mocking I mean. "Too bad you don't let that side of yours show very often," 

  I shrugged.

  "Thanks for the gifts," she said.

  "Uh... and I'm sorry about before," I apologized rubbing the back of my neck.

  Seorin gave me a warm smile. "Gwenchanha"

  Huh, she forgave me quite easily! I thought. Maybe she's not as bad as I thought.
