Elevator
21:35, 28 April 2021I get a phone call and run to the next room, putting my flip phone between my shoulder and face.
"Hello, Agent Del la Cruz." I speak as I walk back to my bedroom.
"It's me baby girl." Morgan's voice booms through the phone. I smile and switch the phone to my left hand.
"Hey Morgan." I tell him.
"Where are you?" He asks and I open my shower curtain.
"I'm at my place. Listen I ran into an old friend today, wanted to go out tonight around 7. I was wondering if you wanna join." I state slightly nervous since I haven't asked anyone out in a while.
"Yea for sure. Where we going, a club?" He asks but I dismiss him.
"No somewhere a little more high end. So wear something nice." I tell him.
"Okay, see you in a few hours Mama." He tells me. I smile and hang up before glancing at the clock.
4:56pm
I jump into the shower and wash my hair, body, and shave. Once exiting I blow dry and straighten my hair. After I finally set down the hair straightener I walk out of my bathroom and go to my closet.
I open my closet doors and look through my wardrobe. A pair of leather tight pants catch my eye. I take them out with a pair of black underwear. After slipping those on from under my robe as I stare at my top section of my closet.
I take out a few black shirts that match the pants. I decide on one before taking off my robe and setting it on my bed. I grab the pants and shrug one leg at a time in them. Once they reach my rear I jump up and pull, trying to get them to go over it. Once it does I button and zip it up. They stop right on my bellybutton, hugging my hips that are on the wider side.
I grab the corset black shirt and unlatch the back. I place it around my shoulders and latch it back up. I untie the lose strings before pulling hard on them, making them reform my body. My breast lifts slightly and my waist gets slimmer. I walk over to my mirror and trace my finger on the branding on my chest. I sigh, not letting the accident prevent me to show myself off.
It's only Leo and Derek
I walk back to the bathroom and tie my hair in a tight low ponytail, having no strands fall onto my face. Once done I open my makeup bag. I apply concealer and foundation on my eye bags and bruises, trying my best to cover them up.
I place some red lipstick on my plump lips and take out my eyeshadow pallet. I do a smoky eye and add mascara. I spray some perfume and spread lotion to my arms before leaving the bathroom and looking at my phone.
Hendrick:I'll meet you two at the restaurant ;)
I answer him back and look at the time reading 6:45. I slip on my heels and sit on the couch waiting for Morgan's text telling me he's here. Instead a knock is heard on the door. I grab my purse and make my way to it, looking through the peephole. I open the door and let my eyes rake over his body.
He wears a white button up shirt, the first few buttons undone. The sleeves are rolled up to his elbows as he wears his watch and one single silver ring on his index finger. Veins start from his hands and run up his arm. A black suit jacket is over his shoulder, his left hand holding it there. He wears long black dress pants that hug him in all the right places, and shiny black shoes to match. His dark eyes look at me, a toothy grin plastered on his face.
"You look nice." I tell him as I close and lock my front door.
"You look beautiful." He says back at me. I smile up at him as we make our way down the steep 13 flights of stairs. We get into his car and drive to the restaurant.

When we get to the restaurant Morgan gives his car to valet. He holds his jacket in one hand, his other on the small of my back, leading me through the restaurant. We stop at the formal woman in the front as she looks up at us.
"Reservation table?" She asks and I nod.
"Shoulder be under Foster." I tell her as her eyes scale her booklet.
"Yes please follow him, he will show you to your table." She says motioning to a younger man next to her. He walks through the restaurant and brings us to a table, Leo already sitting there. Leo sets down the drinks menu and looks up at us.
Morgan drops his hand from my back and offers me a seat. I thank him and sit down, him doing the same.
"Hey mate, names Leo Foster." Leo introduces, sticking his hand over the table.
"Derek Morgan." Morgan states, shaking his hand firmly.
"You look lovely as ever luv." He says.
"You too Hendrick." I tell him looking over his attire. He wears a white button up with a velvet colored vest over it. The same red velvet color match his fitted pants. His straight dirty blonde hair is jelled back, a few strands framing his angular and defined face.
"So I finally get to meet one of Isla's coworkers." He speaks looking over the menu. "Tell me, do you like the FBI?" Leo asks Morgan.
"I do." He says dryly.
"Hm. Not much of a talker?" Leo asks.
"Okay Hendrick, how bout you pick something to drink." I say tapping the menu thats in his hands.
"Very well." He says smirking lightly. When the waiter comes we close our menus and give it to him.
"Two martinis." Leo speaks before looking at me. "I know how much you despise champagne." He speaks and I chuckle. Morgan orders a rum and coke before looking at Leo.
"So how do you two know each other?" Derek asks looking at us.
"Old friends. We trained to get into the Police academy together, than became officers together at the same station." I explain.
"I thought you said you didn't have time for friends." Derek quotes what I've said before.
"Oh luv, I'm pained to hear this." Leo says placing a hand on his heart.
"Well after a few years we went our separate ways, we barely keep in contact." I explain.
"Why?"
"I wanted to be FBI and Hendrick had other plans." I tell him. Our drinks arrive and I thank the waiter.
"What do you do now Leo?" Morgan asks sipping his rum.
"Undercover Assassin for the government." Leo answers lowly.
"That's a serious job for someone like you." Morgan states. I swallow hard and look up from my drink. Leo's head tilts to the side at Morgan's remark.
"Someone like me?" He asks.
"Someone who is humorous." Morgan says fully.
"Ah yes well I like to be on the lighter side of life. Wouldn't like to be brooding all the time like Isla here." Leo says laughing.
"I'm not always brooding." I counter.
"Tell that to the frown lines on your face luv." Leo teases. The waiter comes again and we order our entrees.
"So you guys are pretty close?" Morgan asks.
"I'd like to think so." Leo answers.
"Have you two been anything more than...friends?" Morgan asks slowly. Leo's eyes leave Morgan and glance at me as he sips his drink. I give him a look before his eyes make their way back to Morgan's.
"No. Strictly friends. Ain't that right luv?" He asks and I agree.
"Oh yea. Hendrick was like my only friend." I say, partially truthfully.
"Well you weren't the most approachable person." Leo argues causing me to look at him shocked.
"What? How so?" I ask.
"You always have this look on your face. If it weren't for your smart ass remarks and banter I would never have approached you." He says aloud.
"I don't have a look." I counter and Leo purses his lips. "I was a little of a bitch though. But that wasn't my fault." I say pointing to Leo.
"No it was those cops, I know. It amazed me how we even became cops with the amount of trouble we caused." Leo laughs. I smile and shake my head.
"Trouble?" Derek asks.
"Yea, becoming a woman cop was hard. I constantly needed to prove myself to others, so I broke a few rules to show them how smart and capable I was of doing anything a man does." I tell him.
"And you should've seen how they reacted when she said she wanted to be a special agent." Leo adds. "Sexism didn't faze her though."
"I had help." I say winking at Leo. Our food arrived and we ate mostly in silence. Small banter between Leo and I were made but nothing out of Derek. He observed and ate his pasta in silence. Once we were done Leo offers to pay the bill.
"No Hendrick." I say reaching for the check, but he pulls it away.
"It was my idea to go out tonight luv." He argues back.
"Yes but every time you ask to go out I've been busy. So let me make it up to you." He starts to give my the check, my hand extending for it. But once I get close he take it back.
"You are a child." I counter at his tactics. He pays and gets up.
"Oh please luv, you love me." He says kissing the side of my face as he excuses himself to use the restroom. I look over at Morgan, who bites his cheek out of annoyance. He plays with his fork, tapping it slightly on the table.
"You've been quiet all night." I state looking at him.
"Have I?" He asks sarcastically.
"What's with the attitude?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows.
"I don't know luv. You tell me." He mimics Leo.
"What are you trying to say?"
"There was no opportunity to talk. It was always you two. Whether if it was reliving a memory, laughing, or flirting." He says with an angry face at the end.
"We weren't flirting." I tell him annoyed now.
"The constant winking and him calling you luv isn't flirting? How bout 'I know how much you despise champagne'." He imitates Leo's accents again.
"Oh come on Derek, so what. He knows what I like and don't like. That's not flirting. Besides why do you care? We aren't even together." I say harshly. Morgan scoffs and shakes his head.
"Whatever Isla. You didn't need to lie about you two."
"When did I lie?" I ask.
"It's clear you two dated, which you told me you didn't have time for." He states.
"It was barely anything. We tried the whole dating thing didn't work out, end of story."
"Did you sleep together?" He asks with an eyebrow raised.
"Why does it matter?" I ask angrily.
"It's not a hard question Isla. Did you or did you not?" He repeats.
"Sorry took so long, I-" Leo starts as he walks back but stops when he sees the environment of the table.
"I think it's time to go." I mutter.
"Agreed." Morgan grumbles. We both get up and Leo walks over to us.
"Well you look amazing as ever luv. Hope to see you soon." He says bending down and kissing my cheek. I do the same, telling him goodbye. Leo looks at Morgan and gives him his hand.
"Nice to meet you mate." Leo says but Morgan doesn't shake his hand.
"I'm not your mate." He says before opening the door and leaving.
"You think he found out?" Leo asks and I look up at him.
"Yep" I say popping the 'p'.
"Good luck with that luv." He says opening the door for me. I roll my eyes and walk out.
"Thanks Hendrick." I say before seeing the valet pull up Morgan's car. He gets into the front seat and waits for me to get in.
Once I put on my seatbelt he switches gears and speeds off the street. I look at him from the corner of my eye. His body is tense, one hand on the wheel, the other on the manual gear stick. His leg is pushing down the accelerator as he speeds down the streets, driving recklessly.
He takes a tight curve, my body leaning slightly to the side. I roll my eyes and lick my teeth due to his antics. When we reach his street he screeches to a stop, and changes gears to reverse. He puts his arms around my seat, his hand behind my headrest. He looks behind me and parallel parks before turning back around and putting the car in park. He opens the car door and gets out slamming it closed. I roll my eyes and get out myself.
We cross the street to his apartment building, the cold night wind pinching my exposed shoulders and arms. Once we reach his building a white paper lines the door, he cuts it with his keys and open the door, without reading it. I walk behind him and enter the quiet warm lobby.
"You are so ill- tempered." I mutter under my breath once we reach the elevator. He slams his hand on the elevator button, the small bright light turns on, and the numbers on the top starts decreasing.
"Me?! Imagine how I felt when I though this so called old friend was a girl. Then I see this posh British guy, acting all amorous towards you." He fumes looking down at me. I scoff and throw my hands up.
"What do you want me to say?! Hm?! You have no right, to try to pin me on something when I did absolutely nothing wrong!" I argue back.
"We are not together, so I can act however I please." I state strongly.
"You're right. We are two adults who can act and do whatever we want with whomever we want. But last I checked it's common sense that when two seem to be interested in one another they don't go around flirting with British guys!" He says, slowly getting louder. "How am I supposed to act? Tell me, do you actually like me or are you just screwing around?" He asks.
"Morgan are you really asking me that right now?" I scoff rolling my eyes at him. A small ding pings into the lobby, metal doors taped with two white papers pry open. Morgan and I walk into it, still in the middle of our argument.
"Yes I am Isla. I want to know if I'm waisting my time here." He says as he presses his floor button.
(Play Song)
"Are you done with your temper tantrum, because quite frankly I am." I tell him as I look him in the eyes.
He sucks his teeth and fakes out a humorous laugh. He bites his lip as his large hand rubs his lower face in frustration. "It's a simple question." He insists.
"You know the fucking answer Derek. I'm tired of these childish games!" He walks up to me, entrapping my in the corner of the elevator. His hand leaning on the cool metal while the other is holding onto the thin steel handle by my waist.
He blows deeply out from his nose, the air hitting my on the face. I look up at him, my head leaning backwards. His eyes trail up my body, starting at my chest, then my neck, than finally up to my eyes. He leans down slowly, his dark brown eyes never leaving my own.
"I want to hear you say it." He whispers. The elevator jerks up and down once before it stops. It makes a loud screeching noise catching Dereks attention. His head whips backwards and looks at the door, his arms never moving from his position.
"Oh no, no, no" He utters. I see him starting to get anxious at the environment, knowing his fear of enclosed places. I grab the back of his head and turn it back to where I stand.
I push his head down, crashing our lips together. His demeanor changes completely as his body relaxes. He takes his hands off the wall and brings them to my waist. I moan into the kiss and he pulls me off the wall with his large hands on my waist.
He abruptly drags me to the opposite side of the elevator, roughly hitting my back on the tall hard walls of the elevator. My hand hits around the elevator keypad, until it finally hits the emergency button. I press it a few times, knowing the fire department will arrive eventually.
The bright lights of the elevator flicker and become dimmer causing Derek to panic and break the kiss. I grab his face and kiss him again, trying to divert the situation.
My tight shirt lifts slightly from all the moving, causing me to feel Morgan's cold hands on my waist. I suck in a breath from the coldness causing him to stop kissing me on the lips and start traveling down my body.
He starts to kiss my neck, yanking my ponytail forcibly. I moan and tilt my head back giving him access to my neck. He fumbles with my tight hair tie unable to get it off. I push myself off him and quickly take off my hair tie. He stands there staring at me as I shake out my thick black hair, letting it fall messily down my back and shoulders.
He smirks once I'm done, yanking me back to him by my waist. I unbuckle his belt causing his dress pants to fall slightly, the top of his white Calvin Klein underwear showing. He kisses my neck, sucking on the softer parts.
I hum in response my hands falling onto his chest. I start to unbutton the already undone shirt, tugging it off his shoulder, exposing tattoos. My hands fall to his stomach, running my hand up and down his abs. He shrugs off the shirt, making it land on the floor, where his black suit jacket rests.
I grab onto his waist and slide down his body, kissing his chest and stomach. Once I fully reach the bottom I get on my knees and take my hands off his hips. I grab his belt in one hand, sliding it out of the loops. His pants fall even lower, expoing his front.
A bulge appears in his white underwear and I smirk up at him. His large hand rests on my head as I drag down his pants, letting them scrunch together at his ankles. As my fingers trace his defined 'V' line a single vein trails down into his undergarments.
Both my index fingers play with the elastic of his underwear. Slipping my finger under it, feeling his warm skin against my cool hands. He puts a hand on my head, fingers dipping into my hair, jerking my head back to look up at him. I smirk and lick my lips as I look back down at his hard bulge. I go to pull them down but loud yelling is heard from outside.
"You okay in there?!" A loud voice booms from outside. I trip over my feet and scurry to get up, throwing Morgan his shirt on the floor.
"Yea! The elevator got stuck!" I yell trying to fix my smudged makeup. Morgan buttons up his shirt as fast as he can, but gives up. Instead he pulls his pants back up zipping it. The doors pry open and we stop, putting on a smile.
"Didn't y'all see the fliers. The elevator is under construction. No one was supposed to use it." The fireman asks once the doors finally creak open. He looks over us and rolls his eyes.
"My apologies man, we weren't paying attention." Morgan huffs hiding his belt behind his back. The fireman scoffs and points at us.
"Yea I can see that." He says drawing an 8 over my body. I look in the reflective elevator wall and smile a tight smile before flattening my hair. I notice the new bruises forming on my chest and neck causing me to tug Morgan's suit jacket from under his arm. Wrapping it around my shoulders, blocking the view of the hickeys.
"Y'all are lucky this elevator didn't fall 20 floors." The firefighter says extending his arm through the doors, motioning me to grab his hand. I take off my heels and hold them in one hand, the other grabbing onto the fireman's.
He pulls me out of the elevator and onto whatever floor we stopped at, Morgan helping by pushing my rear up. I glare at him from behind my shoulder before he grabs the platform and pulls himself up by himself. Once he gets up fully he shakes the fireman's hand.
"Thanks man." He says shaking the mans hand firmly.
"Just don't use the elevator until Monday when it's fixed." He huffs before grabbing his equipment on the ground and leaving. I roll my lips into my mouth and look up at Morgan. We burst into a fit of laughs before he wraps his arm over my shoulders, leading me to the stairs. We walk to his floor and get inside the apartment.
I drop my heels at the opening of his apartment before I feel him pick me up, running to his bedroom. I laugh out and slap his back. He throws me onto his bed and lays down on top of me, his body in between my spread legs. He crashes his lips onto mine and takes off his shirt, doing the same to me. We spent the rest of the night in his bed before sighing out of breath and flopping down next to each other, slowly falling fast asleep.

I am extremely proud of this chapter. Morgan and Leo met, doesn't seem that Morgan likes him. A fight between Isla and him erupted, turning into an intense make out session. Later sleeping together. I didn't go into detail, sorry 👀.
